Dog Race Rules & Regulations
Dogs over 18 inches tall at the shoulder will compete in the large dog races.
Large dog races will take place on Saturday of each event immediately after run #100.
Dogs 18 inches and under at the shoulder will compete in the small dog races.
Small dog races will take place on Sunday of each event immediately after run #100.
All dogs must be entered by draw #50 on the day they are to compete.
Each entry is required to pay a minimum $1 entry fee. 100% of proceeds will be donated to The Tyler Parten Foundation.
Dogs will race two at a time with the winner of each match advancing to the next round until a Champion and Reserve Champion are decided.
The Start line will be indicated by a line at the 1st and 2nd barrel stakes and the Finish line will be indicated by a line at the 3rd barrel stake.
Each entry is allowed a handler at the start line and maximum of 3 handlers on the finish line.
Handlers are allowed to use toys, treats, or any other item to call their dogs to the finish line. However, the helper on the finish line must stay behind the line for the duration of the race.
All dogs must remain on a leash until their respective matches and must be immediately placed back on a leash at the conclusion of their match.
